Richard Dean Associates was established in 1975 by two partners, Richard Bazirgan and Dean Goodwin, as a manufacturers representative firm based in New England. Dean left the business in 1984 and Dick Bazirgan remains the sole principal. Our philosophy is the same as it was in 1975. "Communication" and a "sell through" approach have helped us build strong, long term relationships with both our dealers and our vendors. Dick Bazirgan has been perfecting his marketing skills in the audio industry for 30 years. His blend of personality, professionalism and experience is a rarity in our industry. Dick Bazirgan - Principal
Dick founded Richard Dean Associates Inc. in 1975. Prior to starting RDA, he was Vice President of Marketing and Sales for a consumer electronics company. Dick has been involved with Consumer Electronics, as well as the MI and Pro Audio Markets for three decades and continues to lead a team of extremely well qualified, motivated professionals who believe service to the customer and the manufacturer are the keys to his company¹s longevity. Dick is married with four children.
Suzie Markos - Office Manager
Suzie has been with Richard Dean for over 20 years. Prior to her joining the RDA team, she ran the order department at a consumer electronics firm, allowing her to easily relate to the vendors she deals with every day. Her years of experience in this field make her an excellent troubleshooter and problem solver. Suzie¹s work with both our vendors and our customers allows our sales staff the time needed to develop and write sales. Her other duties consist of the day to day business operations. Suzie lives in Newburyport and has 2 children and 3 grandchildren.
Bill King - Sales Manager
Bill has been in our industry for over twenty five years, and is a graduate of U Mass-Amherst with a BA in Marketing. He has been a member of the RDA team for more than a decade. Bill oversees our commercial accounts, large A/V accounts, an also our consultant base. He has a strong technical background, and received his Syn Aud Con level 100 certification for advanced audio training, and just completed the 3 day Syn Aud Con Digital Seminar. Bill runs our monthly meetings, manages our sales efforts on a daily basis, and is our "numbers guy".
John Davidson - Outside Sales
JD has been in the audio industry for over twenty years, starting in sales at The Music People, Inc. Spending his first ten years in National Distribution has granted him a unique perspective into the many channels of the Pro Audio Industry. He¹s been focusing on The New England Market for the last eleven years. His background and commitment to customer service was right in step with RDA¹s sell-through philosophy. He handles a variety of accounts primarily in Connecticut, including distribution accounts, MI retailers, and pro sound contractors.
Sean Estella - Inside Sales
Sean has been with Richard Dean Associates for over ten years. He brings a strong background in customer service and many years of experience as a working musician and audio engineer to the company. He specializes in computer based audio recording and has a passion for music technology. Sean provides dealer support and training, spearheads the company's marketing efforts, oversees many retail and commercial accounts, and is our "IT guy." His product knowledge, professional attitude and warm personality allow both manufacturers and dealers to feel right at home. Sean lives in Rowley, MA with his wife Janet and sons Bodie and Evan.
Lew DiTommaso - Outside Sales Motivator With a GC Focus
Lew is no stranger to the New England MI Scene. He was with Daddy's Junky Music for years, filling multiple roles from store manager to buyer. He does a great job for us with the GC Stores and the one Sam Ash market in our territory. He's well respected by management and associates alike. Lew takes great pride in having been a part of the emerging 60's music scene and saw The Beatles perform in Boston. Lew also is a certified high school basketball official in New Hampshire.
Fred Renz - Outside Sales
Fred has been in our industry since 1985, when he began his career at the legendary Daddy’s Junky Music Stores chain. He held store manager positions at several locations during his six-year tenure. In 1992, he went to work as a sales representative in New England and upstate New York, visiting retail, installation and production company accounts and building a solid reputation with customers as a “follow-up” guy. He’s been a guitar player since age 8 and spent the mid-1970s performing in the tri-state NY nightclub circuit. In his spare time, he loves riding his Harley, spending time with family, travel and searching for the perfect pint of ale.
Adam Morrison - Outside Sales
Adam has worked in Sales and Customer Service for over 10 years and is a recent addition to the Richard Dean team. From MI sales to broadcast audio, wireless intercom, and video production sales, his experience has provided a strong foundation to support our Systems and Professional dealers. Adam has a BA from the University of Vermont and has been living in the Boston metro area since 2007. A self-proclaimed “geek” when it comes to guitar and bass gear, he has been an active musician for many years and enjoys home recording.
Dave Dusman - Outside Sales
Based in Buffalo, Dave works our Contracting and Pro channels and has a wealth of experience in systems design and installation. With over 25 years in the business in numerous positions, Dave has broad knowledge of the industry and brings those skills to our customer base.
Amy Lucy - Customer Service
Amy comes to Richard Dean with over 15 years of customer service and administrative experience. Prior to Richard Dean, Amy worked as an office manager for a small financial services firm. Her primary role at RDA is to support the office with order entry, RA's, and other administrative tasks. Amy lives in Newburyport with her husband and three children. She is involved in the local community having volunteered with local schools and has served on the Board of Directors for Newburyport Youth Hockey. Amy can often be found cheering on her children at their various athletic events.
Monica Moufrage - Marketing Manager
Monica comes to Richard Dean Associates with over 8 years of experience in the MI and Pro Audio Industry. Monica moved to Boston in 2013 from Montreal, Canada. Prior to RDA she worked at SFM in Montreal as a product manager, developing brand strategy and marketing plans. During her time in the profession she also occupied the roles of purchasing and customer service giving her a well-rounded understanding of the business. She received her BCOM in International Business with a minor in Marketing from Concordia University. Monica loves to travel, bake and spend time with her family.
